About

Mathematics Instructor & Cryptography Enthusiast.

I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Central Florida. I possess a keen interest in Number Theory and Cryptography. In addition to my scholarly pursuits, I am dedicated to mathematics outreach. In my opinion, it is vital that both undergraduate students and the general public have a greater understanding of what mathematics and mathematical research entail. In my opinion, there appears to be a significant lot of misunderstanding and misinformation concerning mathematics, particularly pure mathematics.

Currently serving as a substitute instructor in the New York City Department of Education, I am seeking a position in an industry or organization where I can apply my mathematical knowledge and my analytical/problem-solving abilities. My passion has expanded to computers, and attempting to connect the two has been a major part of my life in recent years. I taught myself to program in a variety of languages using books and other available resources, beginning with QBasic, Pascal, and FORTRAN and on to newer languages like C++ and Python. This has enabled me to work on a variety of mathematical modeling and scientific computing projects. Moreover, during my undergraduate studies, I have augmented my mathematical studies with courses in computer science and I am interested in finding a position where I can combine theoretical mathematics with topics in computer science, especially security.

My current research focuses on building entirely new as well as hybrid cryptography protocols that are heavily based on concepts of number theory. I am also interested in computational mathematics related to various topics such as numerical analysis and simulation techniques. Apart from this, I am highly interested in exploring Mathematical Modeling and Fractal geometry.

What I Do

Research

I am interested in many different areas of science and technology, particularly in mathematics and computer science. I am constantly working on my own projects and research. My current interests are in secure and hybrid cryptographic protocols. I am also interested in building quantum resistant security protocols. I am always looking for collaboration.

Classroom Teaching

I have 3 years of classroom teaching experience in mathematics. I plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. I develop schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.

Tutoring

I have 8+ years of experience in tutoring students in mathematics. I have tutored students of all ages. I am able to tutor students in a variety of subjects. I have tutored students from Elementary Mathematics to College Level Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equatons, and many more.

Coding

I have experience in programming in Python, C++, and numerous other languages that are used in scientific computing procedures. I code often in my free time. I am also a fan of the open source world. Sometimes I like to spend some quality time working on progamming challenges from HackerRank, LeetCode, and ProjectEuler.

Web Development

I am a hobbyist web developer learning new technologies and frameworks. I have some experience in HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript. I am currently experimenting with the Bootstrap framework and also trying to learn React JS.

Gaming

I am an avid gamer. I have played many different games, ranging from indoor games such as monopoly and chess to outdoor games like cricket and football. I love playing strategic video games to keep my brain sharp. This enables me to find innovative solutions to problems.
